Faith Community

The learning environment at St. Michael’s School is one which fosters community and the achievement of religious and educational goals. Students are reminded of their faith through visible signs and symbols around the school. Crucifixes, religious statues, religious art, Bibles, prayer corners, and rosaries provide students with the concrete symbols of our faith.

Students are taught to respond politely and with respect to their peers and to the staff and adults in the school community. Students are also taught to be "peacemakers" within their classroom and on the playground. Discipline policies and consequences are designed to teach rather than to punish. Religious goals are demonstrated through the variety and frequency of opportunities for prayer, in the

celebration of the Word, and in the Sacraments for students, staff, and parents.

Parents are invited to celebrate weekly liturgies with the students and parish, and to join us for other liturgical and para-liturgical events. Staff and parents serve as Eucharistic Ministers and/or Music Ministers during our liturgies. The entire school community participates in Christian service opportunities.
